Tolulope Oduyejo-Williams is a licensed, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner at Serenity Mental Health Centers. Tolulope joined Serenity in December 2022. She offers her patients 6 years of medical experience with both a patient-centered and evidence-based care approach.

After earning her professional degree at the University of South Florida in 2016, Tolulope went on to then complete her certification in 2020 at Florida State University to become board certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in Florida.

Tolulope places great emphasis on the patient’s involvement in determining goals of treatment. Meaningful goals for patients generally go beyond symptoms to include quality of life, functioning, and a sense of fulfilment. Her evidence-based and compassionate treatment approach allows integration of clinical expertise with the best available evidence from current research to improve patient outcomes.

At Serenity, she offers advanced treatments including ketamine therapy, TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), and medication management. She loves to work with patients to achieve long-term remission using these cutting-edge treatment options.

Outside of work, Tolulope enjoys going to comedy shows with her husband, reading at the beach, participating in church events, and loves taking her 4 children to the zoo. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, she has a broad perspective of and love for humanity. Having lived in Florida since her childhood, she deeply loves the area and its people. She also has a goal of learning Spanish and to visit at least one country on each continent.

Growing up in Nigeria, she was touched by the marginalization of those who suffer from untreated mental health disorders. People who live with severe mental illness are often ostracized and victimized by society. Wanting to see hope and empowerment in the lives of her patients motivates her to do her best work in the field of psychiatry.
