My Care Philosophy
My approach to patient care is one of an open mind with an understanding that each patient is unique and should be treated as such. I believe my purpose is to work with the patient to develop a treatment plan specific to the individuals needs.
Why I Chose Mental Health
I made the decision to pursue a career in psychiatry at the age of was 17, and consider myself fortunate to have found my path at such a young age. I strongly believe mental health and wellness are of the utmost importance in every human being.
I am passionate about helping others find solutions by identifying their individual problems to create a targeted, unique plan for effective treatment. I find properly diagnosing an individual through thoughtful assessments has given me the most reward in my career. I enjoy facilitating self-awareness in my patients to enable empowerment over their lives.
Interests & Activities
Outside of work I like cooking, going to cycling classes, and playing with my English bulldog, Winston.

Everyone at Serenity is very nice and welcoming. Dr McLaughlin has been my Dr for a few years and when she moved over to the new office, I go to that office now.

Dr. McLaughlin Has seemingly changed my life after almost three months of visiting. She and her staff are so welcoming and kind, Dr. McLaughlin actually listens intently to the issues that I talked to her about. She formulated a new medicinal treatment for me that has been working fantastically. If you don’t just want another cold and inattentive psychiatrist, go and check this place out, because when you’re speaking with her it seems all that she is focusing on is you, and how to make you feel better.
Dr McLaughlin is easy to talk to. She’s personable and friendly and understanding. Everyone at Serenity in Superior has been kind and helpful. Highly recommend.
