Dr. Froehlich is an adult psychiatrist currently seeing patients with Serenity Mental Health Centers. Dr. Froehlich joined Serenity in April of 2022. He offers a wealth of experience in the medical field to his patients and an informed approach to patient care.
Dr. Froehlich’s patient care philosophy stems from his belief in a patient’s right to make informed decisions in their own care. He views his role as working with them to provide an accurate assessment of their diagnoses and treatment options so that they can decide which options best align with their personal goals and values. He is passionate about helping patients minimize their side effects, remove unnecessary medications, or find the right medication combination that works best for them. At Serenity Health Centers, he treats his patients through TMS, ketamine therapy, and medication management.
Dr. Froehlich earned his professional degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2016. He considers himself fortunate to have matched at The Ohio State University for Psychiatry Residency which allowed him to return to his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. After completing his residency in 2020, he stayed on at Ohio State for a one-year fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry.
Outside of work, Dr. Froehlich has an interest in many types of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, skiing, etc. He also enjoys playing chess, word puzzles, spending time with his wife and two children, and studying topics that interest him. He speaks and understands Spanish at an intermediate level and has a personal goal of improving his fluency to be able to use it in his practice as an adult psychiatrist.
During his residency, Dr. Froehlich was fortunate to have the opportunity to provide TMS to patients. He found it powerful to see people improve without suffering from common medication side effects. He sees TMS and Ketamine as very useful tools to have in the toolbox of mental health treatments and he looks forward to being able to incorporate these interventional treatments into his daily practice. Dr. Froehlich welcomes the opportunity to meet with new patients to help them on their journey to take back their lives from mental illness.

This is one of the most fantastic places for Mental Health! From all the amazing front office Girls to the Nurses that make you feel like you're family. Best of all Dr . Froehlich helped me so much I feel like a Different person Mentally and Emotionally! There's also Rob who helped me with payments for Ketamine and TMS treatments not just a manger he's a Friend! Thank you to Serenity for giving me my Life back I will always be Grateful !
I love this place! Dr. Froehlich does a great job of asking questions and truly understanding your situation. He is careful in what he prescribes and always makes sure what is best for you as a patient in the long term rather than the short term.
Dr. Froehlich is a very caring physician. He and the Serenity team make me feel cared for and that my health is important. They have so many treatment options and all of it is guided with my input so I am always left hopeful and heard. I highly recommend this office.
Was literally at my wits end trying to find not only someone who would help but someone that would actually hear what I was saying and take that into account. I’ve tried other psychiatrists and therapy (TalkSpace) but they would only hear a fraction of what I would say before laughing or telling me to essentially go find help elsewhere. At Serenity they took the time to hear me out prior to making an appointment, they didn’t want to waste my time anymore than I wanted to waste theirs. After speaking with Dr. Froehlich I finally felt like I was getting the help I so desperately needed. He not only listened to me but broke down his thoughts of what would be helpful for my case. Taking it a step further, Dr. Froehlich took the time to describe different medication option, going into detail of what the side effects would be and the upside of each one before giving ME the option to choose which medication would be better for me. I was very close to leaving this world, after a couple of misfires with “doctors” that were meant to help me through such a dark time, I finally found a ray of hope in Serenity.
Very straight to the point (in a good way) and beautiful office. Dr.Froelich explained all my options to me and answered all my questions and concerns. He believes in only putting patients on meds that are absolutely necessary and will have minimal side effects. Great first experience at a physicist office. Would def recommend.
