Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
With over ten years of experience in healthcare and a lifelong connection to Utah, Brenda Galvez, PMHNP, brings a candid, collaborative approach to every patient she works with. She believes that the best care happens when patients and providers work as a team, and she creates a space where that kind of partnership can thrive.
Education and background
Brenda’s path to psychiatric care reflects a steady, determined climb through every level of nursing education. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Weber State University in 2011, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Weber State in 2012, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in 2018. She completed her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certification in 2021. That step-by-step journey has given her a deep appreciation for the work it takes to grow, something she brings to the way she supports her patients every day.
Care philosophy
Brenda’s approach to care is team-based and built on open communication. When creating a treatment plan, she strives to involve her patients as much as possible, inviting them to share opinions, ask questions, and provide feedback so she can truly understand how to best support them in reaching their goals. She believes that when patients feel like active partners in their care, the results are more meaningful and lasting.
At Serenity, Brenda offers treatment through ketamine therapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and medication management. She is excited to bring these advanced treatment options to the patients in her community and is committed to providing an elevated level of care.
Personal interests
Outside of the clinic, Brenda enjoys cooking, baking, working out, spending time with her two sons, and traveling to destinations both near and far. She has lived in Utah for most of her life and is proud to serve the community she calls home.
What to expect
In sessions with Brenda, patients can expect a provider who is candid, collaborative, and genuinely invested in their progress. She creates a welcoming space where you are encouraged to share openly, ask questions, and play an active role in your care.
