Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Olivia LaBruno, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC believes everyone deserves to feel supported, understood, and hopeful about what's ahead. With over ten years in nursing, she's seen the strength people carry even on their hardest days. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Olivia creates a warm, welcoming space where you can be yourself, be heard, and take an active role in your own healing.
Education and Background
Olivia earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and holds board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Her nursing background spans over a decade of clinical, administrative, and leadership experience—from acute medical-surgical care to community school nursing to senior leadership roles overseeing behavioral health programs. This experience has given her a well-rounded, whole-person perspective on psychiatric care, rooted in the understanding that mental health is never separate from physical well-being, life transitions, environment, and personal history.
Care Philosophy
Olivia's approach begins with a simple belief: every patient deserves to be treated with genuine respect, warmth, and understanding. She integrates physical and mental health perspectives to provide care that is thorough and truly individualized, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone. In session, she listens without rushing, communicates openly, and works with you every step of the way, so that each care plan is built together and tailored to you. Her goal is simple: to see the full picture of your health, help you feel genuinely understood, and leave you with a hopeful, realistic path forward.
Personal Interests
Outside the clinic, Olivia finds joy and renewal in exploring the world and connecting with others. She enjoys traveling with her family, experiencing new environments, and learning about different cultures and traditions—a curiosity about human experience that enriches her understanding of each patient's unique story. At home, she enjoys cooking and baking, finding comfort and creativity in bringing people together through good food. This sense of personal warmth and connection is part of what allows her to show up for her patients with energy, empathy, and steady support.
What to Expect
In sessions with Olivia, expect a provider who combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. From your first visit, she creates a calm, non-judgmental space where your story matters, and your goals take priority. Whether you're seeking support for the first time or looking for a fresh perspective on your care, you don't need to have everything figured out before you begin; you simply need to take the first step, and she'll meet you there.
