Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
With over a decade of healthcare experience and a background in critical care, Tiffany Talton, PMHNP, brings a uniquely holistic perspective to mental health. Throughout her years in the ICU and post-anesthesia care, she witnessed firsthand the profound impact that mental health has on physical recovery and quality of life.
Education and background
Tiffany earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina at Aiken and spent over 12 years working in critical care and post-anesthesia care (PACU) before pursuing her specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. That extensive background in acute, high-stakes settings gave her valuable insight into managing complex medical needs and supporting patients’ emotional well-being, skills she carries directly into her psychiatric practice today.
Care philosophy
Tiffany’s approach centers on empathy, collaboration, and respect for each patient’s journey. She strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where patients feel comfortable sharing their stories and taking an active role in their treatment. Her care philosophy integrates evidence-based practices with individualized attention, recognizing that each person’s path to wellness is unique.
She values clear communication and works closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that support healing, resilience, and long-term wellness. Tiffany is motivated by a desire to advocate for mental health, reduce stigma, and help every patient she works with feel seen and supported.
Personal interests
Outside of the clinic, Tiffany enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two young daughters, and their one-year-old Goldendoodle, Rosie. She loves family trips, outdoor activities, exercise, and reading, all of which help her stay balanced and bring fresh energy to the care she provides every day.
What to expect
In sessions with Tiffany, patients can expect a provider who brings both deep clinical experience and genuine warmth to every conversation. She creates a space where you can share openly, ask questions, and feel confident that your care plan is built around your individual needs and goals.
