Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Pamela Ziel, DNP, PMHNP-BC’s passion for mental health began 15 years ago when she became a behavioral health technician at a psychiatric hospital. Working with clients of all ages, from children to geriatrics, opened her eyes to the profound impact that mental health has on individuals and their families. That experience set her on a path she has followed ever since, driven by the belief that everyone should have access to safe support and empathetic care.
Education and background
Pamela earned her PMHNP degree and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Florida International University, completing her doctorate in 2020. She gained valuable early clinical experience at the award-winning Broward Healthcare System in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she practiced psychiatry from 2018 to 2020. Her journey from behavioral health technician to doctoral-level nurse practitioner reflects a steady, purposeful career built on genuine care for the people she serves.
Care philosophy
Pamela’s approach to care is cooperative and compassionate. She believes in creating an atmosphere that supports strong provider-patient relationships built on mutual respect and a shared desire to improve overall well-being. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique experience and works alongside them to build a plan that feels collaborative and right for their life.
At Serenity, Pamela offers innovative, evidence-based treatment through ketamine therapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and medication management. She is committed to helping every patient she works with achieve long-term relief and a better quality of life.
Personal interests
In her free time, Pamela enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, and mountain biking with her husband. Having spent most of her life at sea level in Florida, she is excited to be in Utah and taking full advantage of all the outdoor recreation the state has to offer. That sense of adventure and balance is something she carries into the care she provides every day.
