About Orunor Esin, PMHNP

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Orunor Esin’s, PMHNP, path into mental health care began in the emergency room and deepened through working closely with veterans at the VA, experiences that gave her a profound understanding of what it means to support people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. That foundation of empathy, resilience, and genuine connection drives everything she does for her patients today.

Education and background

Orunor is a graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery, where she began building her nursing career. She started in the emergency room, gaining valuable experience supporting patients in crisis, and went on to work with veterans at the VA, where her passion for mental health truly took hold. Inspired by those experiences, she pursued her Master’s degree at Walden University to deepen her ability to serve individuals navigating mental health challenges. That journey from emergency care to psychiatric practice gives her a well-rounded, compassionate perspective that her patients benefit from every day.

Care philosophy

Orunor’s approach is rooted in building trust and genuine rapport. She believes that effective treatment begins with truly understanding each patient, their story, their values, and their lived experiences, not just their symptoms.

Above all, Orunor meets her patients where they are. She honors each person’s unique journey and works collaboratively toward meaningful healing and growth. Her goal is for every patient to feel supported, heard, and confident that she is fully invested in their progress and well-being.

Personal interests

Outside of the clinic, Orunor enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. She finds that staying grounded and balanced in her personal life helps her bring her best self to the care she provides every day.

What to expect

In sessions with Orunor, patients can expect a provider who is warm, attentive, and deeply committed to their care. She creates a space built on trust and understanding, where you can share openly and feel confident that your treatment plan reflects who you are and where you want to go.
