Mikayla Butkus, PMHNP, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Serenity Mental Health Centers in Gilbert, Arizona. She is passionate about helping individuals find healing and balance through compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. Mikayla treats a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, and bipolar disorder, and more.

Mikayla earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine and her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Walden University. With over five years of clinical experience, her background includes inpatient adult

psychiatry, outpatient pediatric mental health case management, and psychiatric intake and assessment for both adolescents and adults. Her approach to care is empathetic, holistic, and patient-centered. Mikayla focuses on all key aspects of mental wellness—medication management, nutrition, sleep, stress reduction, and social connection—to support her patients in achieving long-term stability and growth. She believes in building collaborative, trusting relationships with her patients, empowering them to take an active role in their treatment journey.

Outside of her clinical work, Mikayla enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their Goldendoodle, Otis. She loves hiking, swimming, and strength training, and often unwinds through painting, reading, and exploring new restaurants.
