Johnny Patterson, NP

Nurse Practitioner

(Reviews Coming Soon)

About Johnny Patterson, NP

Originally from Oklahoma, Johnny began his career in service as a surgical technician in the U.S. Army, where he discovered a calling to help others heal. Life took him through the world of IT and software development, but after years behind a screen, something was missing. He craved human connection and that ultimately led him back to healthcare and into the field of mental health.

Education and Background

Johnny earned both his BSN and MSN from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. During his clinical rotations in nursing school, he cycled through different specialties. He’d originally planned to pursue nursing anesthesiology, yet the pull toward mental health was undeniable. Out of every rotation, it was the one that truly connected with him.

Care Philosophy

Johnny believes care is a two-person journey. From the very first session, he focuses on truly understanding each patient, their history, their struggles, and what brought them to this moment. He listens more than he talks, paying close attention not just to what patients say but to how they say it, their expressions, their body language, and the tone of their voice. He believes treatment planning should be collaborative, never one-sided. He wants his patients to take an active role in their own wellness.

Personal Interests

After living in Pennsylvania for 20 years, Johnny made his way to Colorado, drawn by the outdoor lifestyle that makes the Denver area feel like home. Anytime he can get outside, he will, whether that means hiking, camping, or exploring the countless trails and parks the city has to offer. He’s also a proud father of three adult children, helping him relate to the millennial and Gen Z generations.

What to Expect

In sessions with Johnny, patients can expect a warm, judgment-free space where being heard comes first. As a veteran himself, he has a natural understanding of the unique challenges that come with military life and can relate to patients with a military background. Johnny takes the time to gather an idea of where you are and where you want to be, making certain that any treatment plan you build together is something you both feel confident about.
