Education and Background

Dr. French applied for a competitive combined medical program in high school, earning guaranteed medical school acceptance. She earned a Bachelor of Science and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State, then completed her residency in South Florida before relocating to Colorado. Her education trained her to treat patients through a holistic lens from the very start.

Dr. French brings a broad range of clinical experience to her practice. She has worked across inpatient settings, VA facilities, and partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. During her residency, she trained extensively with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine, which is exactly what drew her to Serenity after graduation.

Committed to staying at the forefront of psychiatric medicine, Dr. French has earned additional certifications in safe prescribing, women’s mental health (including peripartum, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause), OCD treatment, and neurodivergence. She considers herself a lifelong learner and regularly explores emerging research and treatment protocols, including the latest developments in TMS, to ensure her patients have access to the most current options available.

Care Philosophy

Dr. French believes that no matter what a patient shares, no matter how private, sensitive, or difficult, they will be met with warmth and complete openness. She takes pride in her ability to connect with patients from all walks of life, backgrounds, cultures, and identities, and regularly receives feedback that her patients feel seen and understood.

Her approach is deeply collaborative. Dr. French walks patients through her clinical thinking in real time, transparently sharing what she observes and why she is considering specific treatments. She believes patients deserve to understand every step of their care, and she includes them in every step of the treatment process.

Personal Interests

Outside the clinic, Dr. French is a mom to two young children and enjoys taking them to science museums, kids museums, and weekly family Chinese lessons, because she believes in feeding young minds while neuroplasticity is still on her side. She loves exploring the Cherry Creek North neighborhood near her clinic with her dog, staying active, and experimenting with 3D printing. Her truest hobby is keeping up with psychiatric literature, as she enjoys learning about new data, new protocols, and new possibilities for her patients.
