Licensed Adult Psychiatrist
Dr. Jayson Tripp, MD, is a licensed adult psychiatrist at Serenity Mental Health Centers, where he has been part of the team since 2022.
Education and Background
Dr. Tripp earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University in 2006 and spent several years practicing as a pharmacist before pursuing his medical degree at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in 2018. He then completed his general psychiatry residency at Cape Fear Valley Health System. That journey from pharmacy to psychiatry gave him a uniquely well-rounded clinical foundation, one that informs the thoughtful, evidence-based care he provides today.
Care Philosophy
Dr. Tripp’s approach to care is rooted in treating the whole person. He recognizes that treatment can be complex and that every individual requires a unique path forward. He takes the time to listen, to understand what each patient is experiencing, and to work collaboratively with them to form a plan that leads to tangible, meaningful results.

Personal Interests
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tripp enjoys staying active through pickleball, basketball, racquetball, and hiking. He’s also a chess enthusiast and loves spending time with his family. Whether he’s on the court or on the trail, he brings the same energy and focus to his personal life that his patients experience in every visit.
