Psychiatrist
Dr. Ryan Jones, MD, brings a depth of empathy and insight that shapes everything about the way he practices. He understands that traditional medical models don’t always address the full complexity of what someone is going through, and he is dedicated to creating care that honors each person’s unique story and supports lasting, meaningful healing.
Education and background
Raised on a ranch in northeastern Wyoming, Dr. Jones studied biology and history at Creighton University before earning his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). He completed his psychiatry residency in South Dakota and went on to expand his clinical expertise by working internationally in New Zealand. That journey, from a Wyoming ranch to international practice, has given him a broad, grounded perspective and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Care philosophy
Dr. Jones approaches mental health care with the belief that every person’s unique story shapes their path to wellness. He provides personalized, effective treatment for conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and more, always looking beyond the surface to understand the full picture of what each patient is experiencing.
He fosters a supportive, stigma-free environment where patients feel truly heard and empowered to take an active role in their care. His own experience navigating mental health challenges gives him a personal understanding of what his patients are going through, and it fuels his commitment to providing the kind of compassionate, honest care that makes a real difference.
Personal interests
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Jones enjoys reading, running, playing board games with family and friends, and traveling. His love of exploring new places and connecting with the people around him reflects the same curiosity and warmth that his patients experience in every visit.
What to expect
In sessions with Dr. Jones, patients can expect a provider who is empathetic, open, and genuinely invested in their well-being. He creates a space where you can share freely and feel confident that your care plan is built around who you are, not just what you’re going through.
