About Dr. Michael Wolfe, MD

Psychiatrist

With training that spans psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and interventional psychiatry, Dr. Michael Wolfe, MD, brings a versatile, well-rounded skill set to every patient he sees. He is passionate about building meaningful connections with the people he works with and takes a holistic approach that addresses the full picture of each patient’s well-being.

Dr. Wolfe earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from UC Berkeley and completed both medical school and his psychiatry residency at UC San Diego, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. His training includes specialized expertise in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and ketamine infusion therapy, giving him the ability to offer advanced, interventional options alongside traditional approaches. Throughout his career, he has worked with diverse populations, including military veterans, the LGBTQ+ community, and women during pregnancy and postpartum.

Care Philosophy

Dr. Wolfe takes a holistic, person-centered approach to care, addressing the biological, psychological, and social factors that shape each patient’s experience. He believes that effective treatment starts with truly understanding the individual, and he focuses on creating goal-oriented treatment plans that promote lasting mental wellness rather than short-term fixes. His experience working with a wide range of communities informs a care style that is inclusive and respectful of each patient’s unique story.

Personal Interests

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Wolfe enjoys hiking, running, skiing, and exploring the Mountain West with his husband and their Australian Shepherd. His love for the outdoors keeps him grounded and energized, and that sense of balance is something his patients experience in every visit.
