Dr. Jamon Holzhouser, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist at Serenity Mental Health Centers in Lehi, Utah, where he provides expert, patient centered care for anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.
After earning his bachelor’s degree from BYU, Dr. Holzhouser joined the military and later completed his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He spent a year at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center before serving as a General Medical Officer with the Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and went on to serve as a hospital staff psychiatrist and operational psychiatrist. Dr. Holzhouser retired as a Commander in the U.S. Navy after 27 years of distinguished military service.|
During medical school, Dr. Holzhouser discovered his natural ability to help patients feel comfortable opening up about their mental health struggles—an experience that inspired him to pursue psychiatry. His treatment approach is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized, ensuring each patient receives an individualized plan tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Holzhouser dedicates his time to his family. He stays busy supporting his teenagers’ activities and enjoys exploring Utah’s beautiful outdoor scenery.
