Rowena De La Cruz, PMHNP-BC, brings over three decades of compassionate healthcare experience to Serenity Mental Health Centers in Summerlin, Las Vegas. With 31 years as a Registered Nurse—21 of those dedicated exclusively to psychiatric care—Rowena deeply understands the complex and unique needs of individuals facing mental health challenges. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for the past three years, she’s worked extensively with adult, geriatric, and chemical dependence inpatient populations, making her particularly adept at managing diverse mental health concerns.
Rowena’s care philosophy is firmly rooted in compassion and holistic, patient-centered care. She believes every individual deserves to be heard, understood, and supported in their journey toward mental wellness. Her approach integrates traditional psychiatric treatments with a holistic perspective, emphasizing the importance of treating the whole person rather than just symptoms.
Driven by a passion to break the stigma surrounding mental health, Rowena chose psychiatry to make a meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of her patients. Her dedicated efforts aim to foster awareness, promote understanding, and encourage open conversations about mental wellness.
Outside her professional life, Rowena enjoys golfing, finding the sport to be an ideal way to unwind and recharge. She’s also a passionate fan of 80’s music, which adds a soundtrack of positivity and energy to her daily routine.
Rowena’s resilience and ability to adapt were exemplified during the challenges of the COVID pandemic, when she managed an intake department single-handedly. Her exceptional skills in prioritization and time management ensured continuous, high-quality patient care despite significant staffing challenges.
