About Bryce Gosney, PMHNP

Bryce Gosney, PMHNP, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Serenity Mental Health Centers’ Layton, UT location, bringing a unique blend of military experience and mental health care expertise to his practice. A US Marine Corps veteran with nine years of service, including two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Bryce draws on the leadership lessons learned in the field to help patients build mental resilience and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

In the Marines, Bryce learned firsthand that mental toughness, resiliency, and healthy coping habits form the foundation for success, both on the battlefield and in life. Now, he applies these same principles to mental health care, recognizing that today’s challenges require the same focus and discipline as combat. His motto of "bend but don’t break" guides his patient care, helping individuals strengthen their mental health for the long term.

Bryce believes that psychiatric medications are a valuable tool but should be used thoughtfully and as part of a holistic approach to wellness.

At Serenity, Bryce combines TMS therapy, medication management, and lifestyle coaching to help his patients achieve sustainable mental wellness. His goal is not to rely on medications indefinitely but to empower patients to grow beyond a need for long-term medication through encouragement, accountability, and leadership.

Bryce’s approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has inner strength and resiliency. He is committed to helping his patients tap into that strength, supporting them as they build the skills needed for a healthy and happy life. Schedule an appointment with Bryce Gosney, PMHNP, today and start your journey toward lasting well-being.

PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES

We offer a variety of treatments to meet the needs of every patient in search of psychiatric care, including options such as:

TMS Therapy
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a safe, non-invasive treatment option for depression, OCD, PTSD, anxiety, and other mental illnesses.

Ketamine Infusion
In recent years, ketamine therapy has emerged as an extraordinarily successful treatment for those who have not experienced lasting results from other treatment options.

Medication Management
Medications such as antidepressants are a common mental health treatment. Many patients find symptom relief with medication, but it’s important to find the most effective medication or combination of medications for your condition. A professional psychiatrist can help you to determine your best options.

ADHD Testing
At Serenity, we use the QbTest to diagnose children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD.

PSYCHIATRIC CONDITIONS WE TREAT

Serenity offers TMS and ketamine therapy as a treatment option for many mental health conditions, including:

Depression
There are many distinct types of depression, including major depressive disorder (MDD), postpartum depression, treatment-resistant depression, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), and more.

Anxiety
Anxiety disorders include diagnoses of panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, specific phobias, or obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Compulsions can manifest in the form of excessive cleaning, repetitive actions, arranging things in a precise way, repeatedly checking things such as light switches or locked doors, and compulsive counting.

ADHD
ADHD contains three subtypes: primarily inattentive, primarily hyperactive-impulsive, and combined, which includes symptoms of both inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive. ADHD treatment options such as medication management can help patients to manage symptoms.

Serenity also treats other conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and bipolar disorder.
