Dr. Freeman holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University and a medical degree from Florida International University. She completed her psychiatry residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center during eight years of service in the U.S. Army, where she served in several leadership roles and was consistently recognized for excellence in leadership and clinical care. 

With broad experience across outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings, Dr. Freeman is also a certified provider of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy, delivering effective treatment options for treatment-resistant depression and other mental health conditions. 

Outside of work, she enjoys forest bathing, birding, neo-soul music, food tours, WNBA games, and live performing arts. Her passion for nature and the arts inspires her personally and professionally.
