Throughout her nursing career, Nahvote Karen Forkom, DNP, PMHNP-BC saw firsthand how deeply mental health impacts overall well-being, and how many people struggle silently without support. That realization inspired her to specialize in psychiatric care so she could create a safe space where individuals feel understood, respected, and empowered to improve their quality of life.

Education and background

Nahvote earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and is board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Her nursing experience spans a variety of healthcare settings and stages of life, giving her a well-rounded clinical perspective. Throughout her career, she has witnessed the profound connection between mental and physical health, which reinforced her commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. Her compassionate nature, patience, and multicultural background give her a deep appreciation for different life experiences and help her build meaningful relationships with every patient she sees.
