Lilian is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes that healing begins with being truly heard. With over a decade of experience in mental health care, she specializes in treating adults navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders. What draws patients to Lilian is her ability to create a space where vulnerability feels safe. She understands that seeking help takes courage, and she meets that courage with warmth, validation, and genuine respect.
Lilian’s journey in mental health care began in 2007 when she started practicing as a nurse. She earned her bachelor’s in nursing from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Nigeria, where she first discovered her passion for psychiatric care and patient advocacy. Building on that foundation, Lilian pursued her master’s in nursing from Walden University, completing the program in 2020. Lilian is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of South Alabama, deepening her knowledge of psychiatric in mental health care.
Lilian’s approach is rooted in partnership. She doesn’t just prescribe solutions, she works alongside her patients to build personalized care plans that honor their unique experiences and goals. Her philosophy is simple: sustainable mental wellness comes from empowerment, not dependence. She believes in equipping her patients with understanding of their symptoms, their treatment options, and their own capacity for healing. Lilian takes a collaborative approach to carefully weighing benefits while respecting each patient’s preferences and concerns.
Outside of her clinical work, Lilian enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family, which is incredibly important to her. She is passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health care, particularly in communities where seeking help has historically been discouraged. Lilian is a member of the National Association of Nigerian Nurse Practitioners (NANNP) and travels once a year with Kingdom Changers Great Commission International (KCGCI), where she serves in a medical officer position. She also volunteers with local organizations focused on mental health education and expanding access to care for underserved populations.
In sessions with Lilian, patients can expect a warm and validating space where judgment has no place. Whether you’re struggling with the weight of past trauma, the overwhelm of daily anxiety, or depression, Lilian meets you where you are. She listens more than she speaks, taking time to fully understand and validate your experience before offering thoughtful guidance. She frequently reminds her patients that they don’t have to carry their burdens alone and that, together, they can find a path forward.
