About Andrea Montes, PMHNP
Andrea Montes is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner at Serenity Mental Health Centers in Las Colinas, Texas. Where she provides expert patient-centered care for anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.
Andrea Montes started her career as a critical care nurse and spent many years working as an ICU nurse. Here she cared for patients and their families at the most vulnerable moments in their lives. She completed her graduate training with a strong focus on evidence-based psychiatric care across the lifespan. She is passionate about integrating medical, psychological, and social factors into treatment. Andrea Montes believes healing begins with feeling heard, respected, and understood. She works closely with patients to create individualized treatment plans that honor their goals, values, and lived experiences.
Andrea Montes’s journey into mental health was shaped by witnessing how deeply emotional well-being impacts physical health, relationships, and quality of life. Throughout her nursing career, she saw how often mental health needs went unaddressed or misunderstood. Andrea Montes felt called to be a provider who not only treats symptoms but truly connects with patients as whole people. Mental health care allows her to combine science, compassion, and meaningful human connection in a way that feels deeply purposeful.
Outside of her clinical work she enjoys staying active, spending time with her family, and focusing on her personal growth and wellness. She values routines that’s support balance, such as exercise, journaling and quiet reflection. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, and creating meaningful moments with the people she loves.
