About Andrew Nichols, NP

Andrew Nichols, NP has over 10 years of healthcare experience spanning both military and civilian nursing. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Andrew brings a sense of community to everything he does, and that same grounded, personal care carries into every patient interaction at Serenity.

Education and Background

Andrew earned his advanced practice degree from Texas State University and pursued specialized training in psychiatric mental health care. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, working as a Critical Care and En Route Care Nurse at Naval Hospital Okinawa and with the 3d Medical Battalion.
He joined Serenity drawn by the practice’s commitment to interventional treatments, including TMS and ketamine therapy, that go beyond conventional options to offer patients real, evidence-based paths forward.

Care Philosophy

Andrew approaches each session by staying present and grounded during even the most difficult moments. He meets every patient with understanding rather than judgment, and with care that is guided by clarity, honesty, and a genuine belief that treatment works best as a collaborative process.

What to Expect

In your first visit, Andrew will take time to understand what has been going on and what matters most to you before anything else. From there, you will build a plan together, one that feels manageable and effective. He listens closely and makes sure nothing important gets missed.

Personal Interests

When Andrew is not with patients, you will likely find him at the gym, reading a book, or practicing mindfulness. His greatest joy, though, is time with his kids, including volunteering at their school where he leads science experiments and happily takes on lunchtime duty.

Beth Martin is a licensed, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner at Serenity Mental Health Centers. Beth joined Serenity in November of 2022. She offers all her patients a personalized and integrated care approach.

Beth earned her Associate of Science degree in nursing from Front Range Community College in 2015, her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Aspen University in 2018, and her Master of Science degree in nursing from Walden University in 2022. She then went on to complete her certification in 2022 to become board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Colorado.

Beth enjoys thinking outside of the box to provide individualized, patient-centered care. She understands that everyone wants to feel their best, and she takes time to talk with her patients as she treats them in a caring, non-judgmental manner. Being attentive and listening to people relay their experiences allows her to use a holistic approach and create personalized treatment options for her patients.

Outside of work, Beth enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She also enjoys hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, reading a good book, home renovations, and gardening. She loves finding new areas to visit in Colorado and she looks forward to traveling more in the future.

There are many innovative ideas and options in mental health care, and Beth believes that this is an exciting opportunity for patients who have been resistant to previous treatment options. At Serenity, she offers treatment through ketamine therapy, TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), and medication management. She looks forward to using these advanced treatments to give new patients hope for their future.
