About Sarah Samsky

Sarah Samsky is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner at Serenity Mental Health Centers. Sarah joined Serenity in July of 2022. She offers her patients 7 years of nursing experience and a patient-centered treatment philosophy.

Sarah earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Utah in 2021. During her education, she completed two years of clinical rotations at Impact Mental Health Clinic in both psychotherapy and medication management. Her time at Impact helped form her current practice of implementing medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modifications to improve overall mental health and wellness.

Previously, Sarah worked in a rural medical/surgical unit as both a CNA and registered nurse. Her gained experience informs a holistic perspective to addressing her patients’ problems and a greater understanding of co-occurring medical and mental health difficulties.

Sarah’s approach to patient care stems from her belief that each patient plays an integral role in treatment planning and implementation. She works with her patients to find solutions that best meet their specific needs while addressing concerns with careful consideration of what matters most to them. At Serenity, Sarah offers evidence-based treatment options, including TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) therapy, ketamine therapy, and medication management in a peaceful and safe environment.

Outside of work, Sarah has a great appreciation for the outdoors and loves all that Utah has to offer in nature. She grew up ski racing and was an alpine ski coach for many years before she began working as a nurse full-time. In the winter months, she can be found in the mountains spending as much time as she can skiing; in the summer months she enjoys racing her Miata at local racetracks.

Sarah’s desire to become a mental health professional is a personal one. Having seen family members and friends experience mental health problems, she understands that no one is immune to mental health problems and that everyone should be able to receive empathic treatment and support. She looks forward to meeting you and working with you to help you take back your life from mental illness!

My journey is long, difficult and still ongoing. But, with the staff at Serenity, I am getting better everyday. Beth Martin-NP, Vivicca, Leneigh, Bella, Sarah and Morgan, have shown me that I have value and purpose. All the staff cares, and will do their best for you. Serenity is amazing.

My TMS tech Sarah was amazing. She was kind, really cared about me getting well, and was very down to earth and attentive. She treated me like a person not a patient. I will miss her now that I'm done with treatments.

I was always greeted with a smile when I came in for my Serenity appointments. I never had to wait too long to be called back for my appointment and all of my concerns were met with a caring ear. I enjoyed working with Sarah and her team and definitely recommend their services.
